Good news, just got confirmation Mike Venables will definitely be joining us for the first half of the journey,Lands End to Home. Mike has ridden LEJOG twice before and his positive outlook and knowledge of the route will be a real plus.
Mike is a semi retired vet, which could come in handy. Originating from Sheffield Mike still supports his local football team "Manchester United" and I will do my best not to mention Ronaldo, Tevez or Barcelona until we get to Penzance.
It’s my 40th year and it was either buy a Harley Davidson or cycle the length of Britain, and as you a can read I’ve chosen the cheap option. I will be joined by my Dad Pete, and his best mate Mike. It will be my first time cycling Lands End John O’Groats. The purpose of my journey is to spend two weeks with my dad, see the length of our wonderful country and raise some money for St Luke’s hospice in Winsford. Starting on the 14th August 2009 I will be blogging our progress.
